In the past twenty four hours, comedian and entertainer Cheese Sandwich, mayor of Ewe-Crying, has announced that his security teams have managed to successfully retake not only the entirety of Cave, the central business district of the town, but resist attempts by Mares' Co forces to retake other areas over six times. The furthest they had reached into the neighborhood was the hedge behind the CAVE Comedy Club just to the Western end of the area, and have since been forced back.

This is partly due to an audacious defense, but also because Mares' Co forces have been pulling out of the entire locale and moving back to the Don'task neighborhood to refocus on taking the area, following negotiations on March 30^th.

 

My Little Pony Animator in Prison for Child Porn - Over 60,000 Images Found

Wysom is listed as a "Character Builder" and "Animator" for the Episode "Appleoosa's Most Wanted", seen above.

According to local news outlet The Ottawa Citizen, an Animator for My Little Pony and Littlest Pet Shop has been sentenced to 28 months in prison for possessing and sharing child pornography. Tom Wysom, 55, was arrested and found to be in possession of over 60,000 images of child porn, as well as 1625 videos. Ottawa police tracked his IP address when investigating a peer-to-peer network.

According to IMDB, Wysom was an animator and character builder for 26 episodes of My Little Pony and 23 episodes of Littlest Pet Shop between 2012 an 2015.

Man makes Terrorist threats against My Little Pony Movie premier

Claiming to be an Army Veteran and "Devout protestant Christian", Youtube user Joby Dimms posted a video ranting against the MLP Movie and promoting actually killing any Bronies in the theaters.

The user has a history of Psychotic anti-brony ramblings, with such Youtube titles as "Bronies need to be handed to ISIS" , "RE: Jenny Nicholson's Brony Hypocrisy" and so on. He posted a video in which he wields a kitchen knife claiming that he will possibly be performing criminal acts and killing Bronies himself on Opening Day.

Typically, we would ignore this as a publicity stunt or lame trolling attempt, which it very well could be. However; in recent months and years we've seen real violent attacks carried out by obsessed Internet users (Like the recent Supermarket killing) and so such threats must be treated seriously, especially given the possible danger to families in attendance.

Sean Rey - victim of Hit and Run passes away at 26.

Sometimes you get a piece of news that is like a punch square in the stomach.

It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you all that Sean Rey, our fellow pony-fan who was victim of a double hit-and-run while cycling to work on April 2nd, has passed away, at the age of 26 due to his injuries. He died in the medical center on Saturday, April 18.

Alabama pony fan Sean Rey , 26, was hospitalized after a double hit-and-run while cycling to work. He has skull fractures, orbital fractures, 12-14 spinal fractures, a shattered pelvis, and numerous other injuries. This evening Horse News was reached out to by fan named BoomOp who comes to us with the news and a charity auction to help raise money for Sean's extensive medical bills.

We have just received word that the beloved brony artist known as James Tempest, took his own life on March 4th after a 2 year long battle with depression. For those who haven't seen what's been going on recently, you probably haven't been checking your favourite artists social media; people on YouTube have been getting content claims. It's no coincidence it's all happening now; infact, there is a root cause for this pony censorship; YouTube Content ID.

In case you didn't know, Content ID has been destroying user-generated fan content since 2007. It's essentially a system for copyright holders to upload all their assets and have content on YouTube scanned for it to either take down, track, or monetise. Sounds great right? Sounds like a flawless system so copyright holders get what they're entitled to? Wrong. In more than numerous occasions it has had issues or not understood fair use.

Leaked DHX asset usage could spell doom for animators, fandom as a whole

It is no secret that last year, a file full of DHX animation assets was leaked to the internet at large. In it, were the character rigs and puppets and other art assets used in the episode Wonderbolt Academy. In the year since its posting, the files have spread far and wide across the internet with hundreds, potentially thousands of copies. Many animators in the fandom have used these assets to their advantage, creating animations that resemble the show almost identically.
This advantage however, may spell the downfall of the entire fandom animation world as we know it.

An Open Letter to Horse-News -- RE: Recent Tumblr Situation

Earlier this evening, a Horse-News writer posted about the latest in an ongoing struggle in ideologies, between the social justice warriors (and brony-hating neo-feminists) of Tumblr, and the often-irreverent Anons from the birthplace of the fandom: 4chan.

Through reading the comments across many outlets, it has become apparent that many of those involved do not understand one's side of the argument oftentimes, and have discounted their opinions as worthless because of it. As a result, one person has seen fit to send HN a letter, titled "Why We Laugh At Rape Jokes, and Why Pinkie Would Too" in an attempt to explain, what they personally see as the "other side" of the dispute.

At 12:05 EST on 19 May 2014, the "M.A. Larson Wings Joke" officially passed away. After a year long struggle, Mitch "Coronate a Bitch" Larson was thanked ironically for the last time, and the joke was pronounced dead at the Twitter Hospital for Meme Veterans. 

BABScon releases official statement regarding "11 year old girl" incident

For those of you who have been following the typical post-convention drama stream that has followed the end of BABScon, you know that some Tumblr user (and SacAnime table staffer) made a post regarding a supposed incident involving a young girl and a congoer of dubious intent. BABScon has now released an official statement regarding the incident, which, according the mother of said child  was "exaggerated" by the SacAnime fan table staffers, and that the family is not seeking to press charges on anyone.
