Hacker fakes brony's death, gets caught, won't shut up about it

On the morning of Thursday, June 27th, 2019, Horse News received an email from someone named "Constantine B" that read "Brony dead...apparently he passed away last night" accompanied by a collage of photographs of Joey Oropesa aka "PecachPictures" lying in a hospital bed. The word had spread quickly that Joey had passed away, and the brony community was in mourning. Within a few hours though, Joey appeared on a youtube livestream...very much alive, bringing a wave of relief and confusion to the fandom.

So what happened?

Well, a hacker had (according to Joey) allegedly broken into Joey's gmail account, found photos taken by Joey's father of Joey in the hospital bed (for a medical emergency, but not death), and proceeded to create the collage and send it out from the PecachPictures twitter account (which was also hacked) claiming Joey had died.

Who would do such a thing? And why?

Well those questions have since been answered and the alleged suspect - a Singaporean Hacker going by the screen-name "Benedict Ho" - WILL NOT SHUT UP ABOUT IT.

Brony Fan VA allegedly sexually harasses child, blames autism

An MLP Fan Voice Actor using the handle "Jestre DeRama"/@Bugstre (real name Zachary according to his pill bottles) has been accused of activity equating to sexual harassment of a minor on Twitter today, following a series of exchanges with user "Buttons"/@creationsoutofe. In the tweets, it is alleged that Jestre, age 29, "smacked" the buttocks of a then-15-year-old girl attending a convention. When confronted about this behavior, Jestre claims he has "poor judgement" due to being "bad at social cues from being on the autism spectrum".

All of this is was revealed after the creator of Lovestruck Derpy and Discorded Whooves announced they were creating a comic featuring a child-adult relationship. Jestre and Jitterbug Jive are collaborators who have done convention appearances together in the past, according to the Trotcon website.

Italian Brony / Furry "Matteo Alvarez" accused of preying on underaged girls, sending / soliciting naked photos

A reportedly 28-year-old Italian man going by the name of "Matteo Alvarez" (real name unknown) has allegedly been an active sexual predator online for several years now, targeting girls often 14 years of age or younger. He has been an active presence in the Brony and Furry communities since at least 2013, with a long list of screen names and aliases with which he has been contacting his victims purportedly in an attempt to solicit child pornography as well as distribute naked photos of himself. Horse News has come into possession of a number of screencaps, chatlogs, and even photographs of "Alvarez" including an image of his erect penis which he sent to Discord users identifying themselves as underaged girls (aged 12 and 13).

He is well-known to the DeviantArt community as a predator, and reportedly efforts have been made to report him to law enforcement, to no avail as he is still active online.

My Little Pony Animator in Prison for Child Porn - Over 60,000 Images Found

Wysom is listed as a "Character Builder" and "Animator" for the Episode "Appleoosa's Most Wanted", seen above.

According to local news outlet The Ottawa Citizen, an Animator for My Little Pony and Littlest Pet Shop has been sentenced to 28 months in prison for possessing and sharing child pornography. Tom Wysom, 55, was arrested and found to be in possession of over 60,000 images of child porn, as well as 1625 videos. Ottawa police tracked his IP address when investigating a peer-to-peer network.

According to IMDB, Wysom was an animator and character builder for 26 episodes of My Little Pony and 23 episodes of Littlest Pet Shop between 2012 an 2015.

A stalker, who literally goes by the name "Lightning Stalker" (along with several other aliases) has been showing off his skills as a true pickup artist....by literally messaging HUNDREDS of twitter users, and asking "can I be your boyfriend"?

But it doesn't stop there.

Letters: Another victim speaks up about ToonKriticY2K's past and alleged solicitation of nude photos of minor

The following post contains an open message sent to the Horse News staff, compiled from the twitter account of a reader named PeachyFennec in response to recently publicized information regarding the alleged actions of ToonKriticY2K. The views and information provided are not necessarily those of Horse News, and have not been independently verified.  

In the days following the public allegations against ToonKriticY2K, more and more people have come forward to share their own experiences, and detail a pattern of his alleged behavior, going back years. Today, another victim who goes by the screenname @fennec_peachy has contacted Horse News, with their own intimate story about ToonKritic's past behavior. These public messages include allegations that ToonKriticY2K solicited "nudes" of the victim - who was reportedly a minor, under the age of 18 at time.

Brony "Analyst" ToonKriticY2K Allegedly Solicits Sexual RP and Photos from Minor

ToonKriticY2K, a self-described pedophile (as seen in screenshots in this article), was recently caught apparently grooming a 14 year old girl in a series of erotic role plays.  Over 500 screen caps of Skype conversations spanning a period of 13 months were recently released, detailing his relationship with the pubescent girl.

These allegations came to light recently in a video released by brony drama enthusiast Vida.  Some of the more damning screenshots are below, along with the video and a link to an archive of all the screenshots.

Pennsylvania Brony Convicted for Child Pornography

Robert E. Miller III, 34 was convicted Wednesday of possessing child pornography in York County Pennsylvania. He was arrested in June of 2016 and was discovered to be a user of a "known child pornography website" according to the US Justice Department. He was discovered to have hundreds of files of Child Pornography, and prosecution specifically provided evidence during his 3-day trial, that he was a brony according to the York Dispatch.

Russian Brony commits murder / suicide at Moscow college with knife and saw

Horse News has learned that a college-aged brony in Moscow Russia, murdered a teacher with a knife, and posted photos posing with the body, before taking his own life with a circular saw.

18-year-old Andrey Emelyannikov cut his teacher (Sergei Danilov)'s throat, reportedly as part of an online "blue whale-style online death game". The murder took place at the Western Complex of Continuous Education on Gvardeiskaya Street in Moscow.

Man makes Terrorist threats against My Little Pony Movie premier

Claiming to be an Army Veteran and "Devout protestant Christian", Youtube user Joby Dimms posted a video ranting against the MLP Movie and promoting actually killing any Bronies in the theaters.

The user has a history of Psychotic anti-brony ramblings, with such Youtube titles as "Bronies need to be handed to ISIS" , "RE: Jenny Nicholson's Brony Hypocrisy" and so on. He posted a video in which he wields a kitchen knife claiming that he will possibly be performing criminal acts and killing Bronies himself on Opening Day.

Typically, we would ignore this as a publicity stunt or lame trolling attempt, which it very well could be. However; in recent months and years we've seen real violent attacks carried out by obsessed Internet users (Like the recent Supermarket killing) and so such threats must be treated seriously, especially given the possible danger to families in attendance.

Randy Stair, a 24 year old Brony and Youtube animator from Pennsylvania, murdered 3 people in a massacre at a supermarket on Thursday night. What he left behind, is some of the most haunting imagery ever seen on social media. The victims were his coworkers.

His last video, a manifesto posted shortly before the events, is filled with both pony imagery as well as a horrific animated school-shooting project he was supposedly working on for quite some time, inspired by the cartoon Danny Phantom.

Whinny City Pony Con cleared of Bomb Threat - UPDATES

Whinny City Pony Con is returning to normal scheduled functions, following a bomb threat made against the convention this evening. The threat, we're told, came on a Periscope video stream of the concert, which caused the staff to close all convention spaces for the evening, until the threat was cleared.

According to Convention Co-chair Charlie Worthley, the threat was made by a twitter user named @slacka and a group referred to as "Supreme Lean Team".

Acosta, Felix, and Goodwill-Yost

Two men, identified as Josh Acosta, 21, and Frank Felix, 25, and one 17-year-old Kaitlynn Goodwill Yost of California, were arrested Sunday for the deaths of 3 people in Fullerton. It has come to our attention that Acosta, Felix, and Goodwill Yost were members of the MLP, Military Brony fan community, and the Furry community. 2 of the victims, were the youngest suspect's parents.

IDW hits new low in laziness?

By now, we've become quite accustomed to the laziness of IDW comics. USUALLY the laziness is in the writing, when they decide to completely ignore (or completely copy) the show's canon for their stories. This time is a little different. 

Today, anons reading the new release of Friends Forever #22 noticed a very out-of-place art style in a conspicuous location of the final frame of the comic.

It appears that the artist opted to use clipart from the first results of Google Images for one of the character's cutie marks.

Artist donates MLP styled casket to family of tragic 4-year-old victim (UPDATED)

Following the tragic loss of a 4 year old girl in a car crash, in a road-rage shooting, an artist from Texas named Trey Ganem has donated a casket to her family, to help her rest easy. The vessel, that will serve as the final resting place for the late Iliana "Lilly" Garcia, is sky blue and adorned with none-other than Rainbow Dash.

“That’s their final resting bed. You know, now we’re giving her what she enjoyed on earth,” said Ganem.

It is a very touching tribute, and our hearts go out to the Garcia family in this difficult time.
