BronyCon no longer a Pony con? UPDATES

Sound the "Slow Death of the Fandom" alarms, we've received an email suggesting that BronyCon is no longer a Pony Convention, at least not in the conventional sense. This Email, forwarded to us by an ex-staff member on the condition of Anonymity, confirms that the largest pony convention is no longer pony-exclusive. They plan on becoming a "Geek Culture Convention" and this year may be diluted by Pokemon and gaming.

Why HN has no Grand Brony Gala coverage: A dramatization

For those of you who don't know, Grand Brony Gala occurred this weekend in Tampa Florida. Now, we've actually been promoting this convention for months now, which is why you may find it odd that we have no official coverage of it so far. Well that's because, word on the street is, that orders were to eject all Horse News affiliates on-sight. Why? Because they didn't want anything bad to happen to one of their guests of honor - the great and powerful TRACEPONIES!

More Episode Titles confirmed...all of season 5?

Yesterday we had some more Episode Titles come through for future episodes.
Episode 7 is "Make New Friends but Keep Discord" - That's the Smooze Episode
Episode 8 is "The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone - One that we've already begun speculating will at least reference Gilda in some way, as it stars Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie (the same duo as Brushoff).

The real point of intrigue however, is another potential leaked list of episode titles that popped up on 4chan.
The list includes names for every episode for the rest of the season.
The supposed poster of this list, correctly identified the name of the Smooze episode over 2 weeks ago, so this could very well be legitimate. It also could be another Ruse Cruise.
We will see soon enough.

WikiLeaks SONY Document Dump leaks information about MLP Movie?

Sony, the company which created the film "The Interview" and was subsequently hacked by a group known as the "Guardians Of Peace" last year, has become the target of a massive document dump on the infamous website known as "WikiLeaks". The website, which typically plays host to leaked government files of dubious classification, is in this instance publishing the stolen emails and documents of a corporation.

Among the emails which we cannot publish here for obvious legal reasons, are conversations regarding the upcoming My Little Pony film in production by Allspark Studios.

Way-Too-Early Season 5 Premiere Synopsis

Since we now have some speculation on when Season 5 will premiere and even have a whole sentence on IMDB outlining the general plot of the first episode, we at Horse News decided we have more than enough information to release the first official Season 5 episode summary before any other pony-related news organizations (suck it, EQD!)

Soft Confirmation of Dragon-related Episode

IDW Comics MLP "Friends Forever #14" was recently released, featuring a Dragon Town in Fillydelphia, full of humanoid non-violent dragons living together in an urban landscape. Including a female one that has...hair...for some reason. Once you get past the glaring error in canon (Twilight Sparkle not having a single book in her expansive library about dragons because they are too dangerous to study), and the #NotAllDragons tumblr-style soapboxing, you have a detective story where spike gets treated like crap again until he saves the day for a twelfth time.

And once you get past THAT, you get word that dragons will be returning to the show in this manner...depending who you believe.

"Button is happening" according to ShadyVox - the voice of the fan-animated version of the in-show background character. Fans will remember how JanAnimations received a cease and desist order from Hasbro last March, effectively killing the promising Button Mash Adventures series.

By the sounds of it, Button may be coming back...somehow.

Catfood Hacked by SJW? UPDATE - RUZECRUISE

A few hours ago, we received word that CatFoodMcFly's tumblr accounts - including Fury Belle, Incestria Girls, and his home account, have supposedly been hacked by revenge-seeking SJWs who have yet to be identified. Horse News received THIS threat from them while seeking information. While this could be an elaborate prank by Catfood himself, we have yet to receive any form of communication from him.

Anti-Brony Cameo in IDW comics results in dismissal of Ted Anderson

Last week, we reported on the outrage that fans had regarding the inclusion of two OC's in the latest IDW MLP comic. The OCs belonged to two artists who were known to have anti-fandom messages and artwork, and a history of aggression towards men and male fans of MLP.

Today we have an update: According to response emails from those who sent messages of concern, Ted Anderson will no longer be working with IDW comics.
