Hasbro pisses off everyone everywhere yet again

So a bit of confusion took place over the last few days. Earlier we reported how Hasbro "confirmed" Season 6 to be coming out later on this year, which would be the shortest hiatus we've ever had. As it turns out, Hasbro fucked up. Again. Pissing off everyone everywhere for the umpteenth time.

Babscon 2015- A Vendor's Perspective

Babscon overall was a bit of a drunken blur- but instead of waking up afterwards mugged and who knows what else, my wallet was packed with twenties and there was a smile that wouldn't leave my face until the jetlag set in. I'm not going to lie, I am going to spend the majority of this article jerking Babscon off, because the complaints are far and few in between. But hey, if you can stand it long enough I've managed to sneak in some secret stripper pics from the /mlp/ party if you can find them. More after the break!

Tumblr is already shitting itself

Pone started off season 5 with an amazing premise about faux equality and dangerous cults, so it was no surprise that Tumblr would react a little salty to this. But we didn't expect it to be so soon. This day just keeps getting better.

Let's do this

BIG NEWS AND EPISODE INFO

So it's a big day for the world.

Let's talk.

Season 5 Pie Family Episode and Interview Over 100th Episode

The following comes to us from the User Submitted Articles box from a user named FraeFroe. The details and opinions below are those of FraeFroe and The Slorg, and do not necessarily represent those of Horse News, or anyone else for that matter.

Today we bring you exclusive news that the information Equestria Daily has given its readers is wrong, and we have never been more happy to find out the truth.

After we were able to make an interview with Aussieland dwelling brony, TheSlorg, (through a highly intricate language using didgeridoos) we found out information which includes details of how the 100th episode was found out, how they plan to portray and characterize the background ponies, and the fact that the so called Maud Christmas episode is actually an episode entailing the whole Pie family. We can only assume that Sethisto’s dislike of the ponies that put his waifu Trixie through work once in her life finally has been proven, and this is his way to show his hatred.
Why do you hate them so, Sethisto?

Screening Party Details Leaked for BABScon

In a series of what appears to be leaked emails, the details of BABScon's Season 5 Premier Party have been revealed, including the "how" and "where".

/mlp/ will be sequestered to our own viewing room, so as not to disturb the children, which ensures this will be the best premier experience ever.

The details confirm that the event will be legal and not pirated as some others raised concerns earlier.

Season 5 - Now complete with Butt Vibrators

So this video came out earlier today while we were too busy doing jack-all somewhere else, but let's take a look at it piece by piece.
Season 5 now has...butt...vibrations...

Way-Too-Early Season 5 Premiere Synopsis

Since we now have some speculation on when Season 5 will premiere and even have a whole sentence on IMDB outlining the general plot of the first episode, we at Horse News decided we have more than enough information to release the first official Season 5 episode summary before any other pony-related news organizations (suck it, EQD!)

Yeah, all those other episode synopses are totally wrong!

S5LDN London Event Announced

Now that a date for the premier is finally set, we fully expect to see viewing events popping up all over the place. BABScon will of course have a viewing session as the Season Premier will occur on Saturday, the second day of the Convention. We received word from a London branch of the fandom, that a Premier Party will be taking place across the pond. "S5LDN is an all-day event for fans of My Little Pony, intended to be a celebration of the community surrounding the show. The event will be held on Saturday 4th April 2015 from 11am onwards (including intermission) in Central London. Details are available on our website at https://www.s5ldn.com."

Read all the details below.

Season 5 Date officialized - we had it all along

The information we had all along, including the IMDB post which was disavowed turned out to be right all along. Season 5 of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic will premier on April 4th 2015.

Big Jim can breathe a sigh of relief.

This means that BABScon will be IN PROGRESS during the premier, so that's gonna be crazy.

Soft Confirmation of Dragon-related Episode

IDW Comics MLP "Friends Forever #14" was recently released, featuring a Dragon Town in Fillydelphia, full of humanoid non-violent dragons living together in an urban landscape. Including a female one that has...hair...for some reason. Once you get past the glaring error in canon (Twilight Sparkle not having a single book in her expansive library about dragons because they are too dangerous to study), and the #NotAllDragons tumblr-style soapboxing, you have a detective story where spike gets treated like crap again until he saves the day for a twelfth time.

And once you get past THAT, you get word that dragons will be returning to the show in this manner...depending who you believe.

Season 5 Special Guest Announced!

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is no stranger to guest stars, featuring the vocal talents of John de Lancie and "Weird Al" Yankovic in previous seasons.

This season, the crew decided to kick it up a notch by bringing in the legendary Jean-Claude Van Damme himself.

Hitting the Century: 100th episode details released

Information about certain elements of Season 5 were released over at PonyCon AU's panels. What's going on? Along with the return of everyone's favorite deadpan delight Maud Pie and more talk about the actual pony movie coming to theaters soon, there were also new details involving the upcoming 100th episode of pony. It's juice and jam time, people.

Season 5 Concept Art from Ponycon

New Season 5 Trailer, 4chan Cup, PonyCon Panel - Hangover Catch up

So, in the middle of the night, Horse News was out drinking, because it's kinda our thing. While we were doing that, Hasbro decided to release another Season 5 teaser trailer for the premier. This may have been one of the things shown during the investor meeting.

STILL NO DATE.

Moving on, there's some other shit happening today - HN will be joining EQD and TDO at PonyconNY for a "pony media panel", which means Rarifag will be there talking about who knows what.

More importantly than all of that, ITS 4CHAN CUP DAY
