Hasbro pisses off everyone everywhere yet again

So a bit of confusion took place over the last few days. Earlier we reported how Hasbro "confirmed" Season 6 to be coming out later on this year, which would be the shortest hiatus we've ever had. As it turns out, Hasbro fucked up. Again. Pissing off everyone everywhere for the umpteenth time.

and then...

In another instance of "fuck you fans" from the motherland, Hasbro retracted their earlier statement regarding the future of season 6 to deliver a sucker punch to the gut of the fandom, announcing that not only will they not be productive in providing season 6 sooner, they will in fact taking the primetime TV approach of splitting the season in half. Why?

Because fuck you, that's why.

If there's anything good that's come of it though, it's the reactions from the fandom. For instance:

BOXXY HAS SPOKEN

Way to go guys. If this is bait, then congrats.

  1. Blaming Hasbro for Discovery Family's bullshit.
Notice how this stuff didn't happen when Hasbro still controlled the network? Then as soon as Discovery Networks took control we got delays, skipped weeks, and no more episode-specific adds.

    1. Not likely. The season was made with the expectation it would premiere last fall and be over by now. Friendship Games was never intended to premiere midseason.

  5. I hope that this is just an ebin ruse from Hasbro/Discovery Family. If it's not, they need to seriously bring back the HUB. While it also left a lot to be desired, it was a helluva lot better than Discovery Family.

Besides, wasn't the Hub formed out of Discovery Family years ago in the first place?

    1. It was Discovery Kids, then became the Hub when Hasbro became 50% owner. Supposedly, they had trouble getting into some cable packages so Discovery Networks wanted to put the Discovery name back in, and bought an additional 10%. While Hasbro has control over what shows air when, Discovery Networks can hold back new episodes if they choose.
Basically, people are blaming Hasbro for the kind of things they didn't tolerate, when the blame should be placed squarely on Discovery Networks.

  6. MLP Critic? Capper? What do you think the motivation for this is? And why did they not tell us until literally days before?

  7. Discovery Family is fucking garbage. Remember on the Hub how the channel had an actual personality and during the commercials some characters actually interacted with each other (examples: Blythe from LPS impersonating Rainbow Dash, My Little Megatron, Dan VS Pinkie, etc) and now we have generic ass promo bumpers where the announcer sounds fake as fuck and they advertise things like a day before it actually comes on. With the Hub however? Hurricane Fluttershy had a promo that aired 3 WEEKS before it premiered. It even beat Zap2It's description! Seriously, this is Discovery Family's fault, fuck them.

  11. They must have hired TV executives from Australia @ Discovery Family because TV in Australia is a sad fucking joke with chopping & changing of programs if they don't rate well against a rival networks program which is usually reality TV drek & programs not starting on time again because of reality TV drek. >.<

Australian TV has never been the same since reality TV became the main staple of prime time back in 2001 when "Big Brother" aired & started the FU attitude to imported shows from the US networks. :'(
