Season 5 is finally done with storyboarding; seems like forever

Thanks to an announcement from pretty cool storyboard artist and Mando snake charmer Sibsy, we now know that season 5 is in fact still happening and is just now exiting the storyboard phase of development. We hope.

We haven't received a terribly large amount of information on the progress of Season 5, and many fans were starting to worry. Small glances have been given from time to time, like from Mitch "Coronate the bitch already" Larson, but overall it's been a relatively quiet process so far. So quiet that we were going stir crazy and began questioning our existence.

Why do we pone? What is horse news? What are we doing this all for? There's angry idiots and empty shells of former human beings, replacing one another each day, with each one becoming worse than the last. Hell, it seems like we've been dealing with all this for almost a year or something...

...Well shit.

  2. So, the number of questions are TWO.

    1. Will the comics get referenced?

    2. Will EQG become HARDcanon (acknowledged in the show)?

    1. EG is already hard canon. Flash Sentry put in an appearance in season four. I distinctly remember because all the autists were raging about it.

And before anyone tries to argue that it didn't count, yes it fucking did

    2. Yeeeah, but it really doesn't. The events of EQG 1/2 are removable without affecting anything in the main series. If anyone hasn't watched either movie they're not missing any vital information.

    3. Flash Sentry was nothing more than a minor reference to EQG. He didn't even play into the storyline at all. I wouldn't even call that "hard canon".
That being said, I'm not averse to the idea of Slash Sentry being in the actual show, as long as they make him an actual 3dimensional character with goals, ambitions, flaws and all that good stuff.

    4. Brad doesn't really mean anything, it means just as much as the appearance of any other character in both EqG and the show. Not to mention that he barely does anything anywhere.
A "hard proof" would be if, I don't know, we see Horse!Twilight writing a letter to Baconhair or something like that.

  3. "fun season"

Yeah, I'm not falling for that. Don't believe the hype.

    1. I think people are confusing "people enthusiastic about their job" for "hype".

It's always your job to manage your own expectations.
