Eyes on Equestria: The Equestria LA "Experience"

While Horse News was busy getting wasted because we knew that keeping us from doing interviews was a whole lot better than banning us outright from EQLA  because that would be bad PR, the media group Hoof Hearted actually did some great reporting at the con.

Here is that horror story.

  1. Jesus titty-fucking Christ. Can't you pony illumaniti get over yourselves? Both "sides" need a big time out. If you're going to host or cover a convention, the focus should be on the con guests and the fans who will eventually watch your content. Y'all have bigger egos than professional politicians, and even less class.

  4. articles like this just make me want to hate mlp conventions a lot as well as shows how far this fandom will go to sweep things like this under the rug iam honestly glad that this got exposed however don't take this anon's word as saying to not go to this conventions or to hate them completely but to simply put it there needs to be bit more transparency and dare I say it ethics (yes I just went there who the fuck cares) in this types of mass gatherings

    1. EQLA essentially screwed over everyone who wasn't horsefamous because their communication was poor and their staff was unprofessional.

  7. I don't think the bad fanfic panel did poorly because of bad scheduling; from what I saw it was boring as hell.

    1. Yeah, because they had to dumb it down for the younger crowd.

    2. If you listen to the video, they had to gimp the fuck out of it due to their shitty time slot.

    3. Not to mention the fact that most of the readers were like preteens who were too scared of looking silly to do anything even remotely funny.

  8. So the pricks running the show basically tried to make it a general MLP convention, and shunned any bronies who wanted to help and take part in it.

    Deserved to fail.
BABScon is now the best California ponycon.

  9. So horse news is banned or something? Hell, that makes me MORE inclined to go. The con will be free from another TMZ clone.

    1. It was more or less EQLA being an 'Everfree Network' convention so groups like PVL were also essentially "banned" from similar practices. Technically more or less 'here's press badges, you have to pay for them and you're not allowed to interview or film anyone."

    2. pvl are faggots anyway so good riddance

why can't we ban all the horsefamous fags anyway, sounds like it would be a better con

    3. I look at it more or less us not needing horse cons, but that's just me.

  10. Any con with intelligence would keep horse news out. That's just like, common decency.
