Season 5 Premier Details Leaks

Every time there is a hiatus, near the end there always comes an anon who claims to have details of the show's future. Sometimes it's an elaborate ruse (see: Starswirl is Discord), but surprisingly often, it's 100% true (see: just about every other one). Today an anon came to the board, claiming to have just seen the Season 5 2-parter premier screening.

Screenings typically happen weeks or months prior to the actual release of the episode, and being that the Premier Date and Season 5 trailers are set to be released this month (at Ponycon in NY and during the Investor meeting) the timing seems right for some leaks.

While obviously this could all still be a ruse, here's all the information that the Screener has provided us thusfar.

Disclaimer: Much of this information could be deduced from earlier-released information.

The above screencap is referencing a "prophecy" that the Season 5 premier is an homage to Kurt Vonnegut's classic short story "Harrison Bergeron"(Larson is a well-known Vonnegut fan).

In Harrison Bergeron, the population is forced to be 100% equal by the story's antagonist, who places artificial handicaps on people to suppress their natural gifts and talents.

final update: OP claims its a ruse after we posted this article. Is it all fake, or is the fake claim a fake.
Who cares! It's hiatus

  1. Could you use something else than Google Chrome or other Chromium-based browsers for these caps? The font rendering is hurtful for my eyes.

    2. I don't need to wear glasses to look at things up close. It's just Chrome's font rendering is the worst out of all browsers. And Googdrones all keep gobbling it up.

Try it out for yourself, faggot. Run Firefox and Chrome next to each other with the same webpage. If you can't see Firefox's superiority, you're fucking blind.

    3. You realize chrome just uses windows font rendering right? If you don't like it, fucking adjust your cleartype settings till it looks good, its not hard.

If you only care about font rendering you'd be using IE

    1. So that's why the thread doesn't exist. I couldn't even find an archive of it.

  4. It's impossible no matter what.
There's no way the morons in charge would ever have the guts to make some sort of Vonnegut reference in this show. They play it way too safe nowadays.

    1. This. And also, people who screen the episode wouldn't take the risk of having their name associated with a company that gets its assets and episodes leaked. If that keeps happening, they will find great difficulty in finding a job Because of loss of trust.

    2. I'm glad you were proven wrong.

  5. So far, I remain convinced that the villain of the premier is some kind of spirit of order. Forcing everyone to be exactly the same and for everything to be bland and boring is kind of the opposite extreme of Discord's band of dickery. And if the new villain and Discord are equal opposites, then the problem of how to write out all the other godmode characters to keep the tension is already solved for them. No need to put Celestia in a cocoon again or something.
