Toplel Troll U XDDD

Some people manage to make accurate predictions by having vast amounts of knowledge and experience relating to the subject at hand, some use computers to make educated guesses using various data-gathering algorithms. More often than not, however, people end up accomplishing this not via intellectual excellence, but by incredible coincidences and blind luck.

Today the fandom ended, and some guy named askteabagcrumpets accidentally predicted it while arguing on Tumblr.

It started with an anonymous question on Tumblr: somebody was concerned that the show's staff openly wearing /mlp/ scarves shouldn't "carry around things associated with a disgusting place like 4chan", which was wisely responded to with a rebuttal from the blog's owner. And of course askteabagcrumpets, being the magnificent bastard that he is, swooped in with impeccable logic and used his brilliantly thought-out comparisons with the KKK to convince everyone that they were dreadfully mistaken-

Just kidding, nobody really agreed with him for the most part. The post's subject itself isn't all that interesting: just another poorly-written rant against the evils of4chan, but towards the end a particularly observant reader whose eyes didn't automatically glaze over partway through the first sentence might find something of note:

In case that doesn't ring any bells for you, you should probably consider consulting your doctor and telling him that you may be showing early signs of dementia.

According to our increasingly reliable sources, the fandom's passing was remarkably silent for an event of such magnitude, with most of its members not even realizing that it had taken place. Life went on as usual for the majority of bronies, aside from a vocal minority who felt a sneaking suspicion that this has happened before. If they happen to be right by any chance, the results will probably end up being rather similar: several people will "leave" quite loudly, only to pop back in every once in a while and complain about how things are going, whereas everybody else will continue to enjoy their plastic ponies regardless of the situation.

    1. And when that happens, close the site down- your work will have ended, and you can receive your reward for a lifetime of service: providing and sustaining TOPLEL TROL U XDDD.

    2. /mlp/ would be completely overrun by new figs and there would have to be a great migration elsewhere because 90% of the board would be fans of the fandom.

  8. Y'know, despite the fact that the anon OP and teabagged are wrong as fuck, I get it. I get why you might dislike 4chan as a whole. It does have a reputation, and a lot of the awful shit on the internet can be traced back there, even if it's still fucking stupid to hold every poster there accountable for that. You can't even really hold individual boards accountable. But still, I get why a person might want to just avoid 4chan altogether.

What I REALLY don't understand at all is singling out Horse News. It legitimately confuses me. It's the Onion with ponies. I really don't know why HN gaining popularity is such a concern that it eclipsing EqD heralds the fandom apocalypse. Unless you happen to be a massive fan of Final Draft, this site doesn't really give all that much to be offended by. Especially compared to 4chan proper. I'm sorry, Horse News. I know you're trying, but it's the truth.

  9. No I'm pretty sure 4chan is a hivemind in it's natural state of anonymous circlejerking of self-depreciative destruction, you know, everyone calling everyone fags, the whole "autism" thing, just to name a few examples.

We don't say "oh, that's just some guys on 4chan," we say "oh, that's just 4chan."
