End of an Era: EQLA leaves the fandom

"It's everypony's dream to have a My Little Pony convention next to a tourist trap" -Rarity
Sad news in the convention scene today as it has been announced that the two year My Little Pony Convention "Equestria LA" is no more.

It was announced earlier that EQLA wasn't returning in 2014 and would return at a later date. It seems now that it has been set to never return.

And if you watch closely, you can see the part where my heart split into two.
Almost immediatley, most of the west coast members of the fandom took to the twitters.

Personally, EQLA was a convention that was the source of pride for the Southern California group. Every year we all talked about how great the con last year was and how the next year's con will be better than bronycon itself.

Thank you again for the memories Equestria La, It was fun while it lasted.

  2. Hmmm. What does this mean, though? Was it lack of funding? Or did Hasbro C&D this one?

    1. A lot of the people who worked on it simply called it quit. Conventions like this takes alot of time to prepare.

  3. I'm sad because it was fun, however there was a lot of flaws that lead in many sexual harassment claims. One even included a staff member from what I've heard.
