Shekelless Family begs Horse Community for Statue of Euphoria.

The G̶o̶l̶d̶b̶e̶r̶g̶s̶t̶e̶i̶n̶s̶ Michael Morones family recently opened up a Kickstarter to build the half-alive child a 4̶0̶ ̶f̶o̶o̶t̶ ̶h̶o̶r̶s̶e̶c̶o̶c̶k̶  pony statue in his honor. The family told Equestria Daily that after Michael’s experience, he deserves more praise. Local scientists believe that this statue is just another ploy by Schlomo McShekelstein First Draft to drain bronies of all their cold, hard cash, by using a low tech Mind-Control-Professionalism-Device-2000 that they c̶o̶m̶p̶l̶e̶t̶e̶l̶y̶ ̶s̶t̶o̶l̶e̶ ̶f̶r̶o̶m̶ ̶s̶o̶m̶e̶o̶n̶e̶ ̶e̶l̶s̶e̶  totally built themselves. Once the machine is complete, it is projected it will steal no less than $35,000 in order to subjugate the masses.

Link to Michael Morones’ Campaign of a Statue for a Better Tomorrow is here.

Definitely not Nightmare Fuel.

Meanwhile, Michael’s rival, Grayson, otherwise known as the kid bullied for wearing the C̶r̶u̶s̶t̶y̶ ̶C̶u̶n̶t̶  Rainbow Dash backpack to school, feeling that Michael cannot be allowed to overtake him in popularity within the legion of neckbearded fedoras, decided to one up Michael by speaking about autism and his window licking adventures at the next Denver F̶u̶r̶f̶a̶g̶ ̶o̶r̶g̶y̶ Comic Con.

This is how we imagine his panel will look like.

In addition to grabbing a lot of shekels, the statue also purportedly has the ability to magically deter bullies at local Brony conventions. Support for building it has been overwhelmingly high, with many from Equestria Daily in favor of building one, calling it a “tremendously good idea that will definitely inspire bullies to stop bullying.”

The face of overwhelming support.

Local media reports that this statue, once complete, shall be replacing the Statue of Liberty on Ellis Island, in a monument to the Euphoric States of Autism.

  1. >Cutie mark is only on one side

    srsly? DYEWTS?

  2. Translated: "At the end of days, I have no idea what to write. I know it was bad, but I don't care." ... Errrr, okay?

Also, really guys, really? Why are you beating up on the Morones family? Haven't they gone through enough in the last half a year? Just saying.

    1. Asking for money for medical support is one thing. Begging for a fucking statue is something entirely unnecessary.

    2. My dog died in 9/11, I'm making a fundraiser to build a giant dog statue and keep the memory alive, and when a Muslim terrorist sees that statue, the lord will cleanse his soul of all evil intentions.

For the small price of 50,000 we can raise awareness to dog victims of terrorism

    3. <_< Shit... Alright, point taken. It is kind of fishy that they're sort of asking for 35k just for a statue. That's just seems a bit off.

    4. Smithing a statue that size from simple iron isn't that expensive, maybe 20K at most.
The extra cost comes from having to pay living people extra to deal with such a horrid, scarring design, and an autistically artistic one, to top it off

  3. Not sure if I jive with the family itself getting thrashed... but I do agree that the kickstarter is fucking retarded as all hell.

Glad to see that common sense is alive and well, even over at EQD. No one there thinks it's a good idea.

  4. Holy shit how could this cost so much? Are they making the 3D model completely solid? The jewry is high in this campaign.

  5. I think the biggest clue is in the name:

    > Michael Morones

    > Morones

    > MORONes

I mean, seriously. My laptop even wants to auto-correct that to morons.

    Fucking Jesus Christ.

  6. OP, I agree with you completely. This is just.... No words.

  8. I've been following this whole drama since it started. The mother is blatantly fanning the flames to ensure they get this kickstarter funded.

  9. Wait, what is she talking about with that picture? What picture is she talking about? It wasn't linked in that video. What in the world is she talking about?

  10. My take on it straight from a comment that I put on that linked video:

"I will say one thing on this. I read about what a section of 4chan did (/b/ I think it was?) as far as the whole horrible joke about people in vegetative states goes. That is beyond the pale.

However, and I know there are going to be many, many people who will disagree with me on this: why do we need this foundation. Do not get me wrong, Mrs. Morones-Suttle. What happened to your son is tragic and it breaks my heart every time I recall hearing about it for the first time months ago. But I have to say that constructing a brony-based anti-bullying foundation might possibly be counter-productive. The fact of the matter is that there will always be people who are not going to listen to reason; who will not stop bullying people like Michael based on his interests; who will continue to hate. That's just the society we live in. Yes, we do need to change it, but what you have to realize is that there are already dozens upon dozens of other organizations in place already that deal with this issue. Sure, you can build another one for Michael, but I have to ask you this: do you honestly believe that building a statue and starting this new foundation is just going to make the problem go away? Because I have my reservations about that. In my mind, it could go one of two ways:

    1. This could actually help alleviate some of the problems facing young fans of the show in a way that might recruit some allies from some unexpected places.

    2. This could add fuel to the fire for people who bully bronies or anyone who faced the problems that Michael did.

I'm sorry, but I have this sinking feeling that #2 there might be more lucky. Don't get me wrong, I hope that I am completely wrong in the end. But something tells me that this is just not going to make the fandom/brony community/anyone involved look any better than before."
