"Hackers" attack RoundStable, Pony Countdown, Red Light Ponyville turn sights on next DDOS target

The other day, a couple guys with an LOIC decided to knock FimFiction.net offline using a DDOS attack...in protest of SJWs and "Degeneracy" (despite the fact that censoring other people is the first tool in the SJW playbook).

The reason? They got upset that FimFiction didn't accept their G3 Fanfic.

Yesterday they claim to have knocked RoundStable.com offline using the same attacks. It remains offline at the time of posting.

Today they decided to continue their attacks on pony-related sites, forcing Redlight Ponyville, and the Pony Countdown website offline through another DDOS attack.

To many, the "takedown" of these sites does not amount to more than a mild inconvenience.
Some of the sites affected have resorted to instituting Cloud Flare protection against DDOS attacks in response.

The self-proclaimed "KekSec International" (comprised of a couple guys from the now-defunct GNAA) seems intent on continuing their attacks on brony websites...for some reason. It is unclear who their next target will be.

For our less-technologically informed readers, DDOS attacks do not compromise the websites themselves, rather just make them too slow to function, by overloading the servers that host them with garbage.

  1. I'm just surprised they haven't gone after Jin and his new forum. If RLPV, Fimfiction, and Roundstable are full of degenerates, one would think that they'd take Jin to be the plushy-fucking degenerate supreme.

    1. These guys have one. It's just not one the masses approve of, thus you saying "Wow, some people need a hobby."

Wow, some people need to broaden their understanding of what people can consider a hobby. ;)

    2. True enough on how broad the definition of hobbies can be.

But a usual hobby to this, is like clay pigeon shooting is to being an asshole who buys an air rifle for no other purpose than to stalk mini-golf parks and shooting golf balls away from the hole from behind the bushes, just as they would go in.

It's a hobby, but it's also being a dick for the sake of being a dick.

  4. Hey knighty or whoever post some attacker IPs.

I'd like to know if it's a known booter, going through some fresh unsecured servers, or whatever else.

Would be fun to do some forensics.

  8. This wouldn't have happened if people on /mlp/ didn't give them attention and suggest to attack these sites in the first place.

Seriously, after calling their first attack a cry for attention, as soon as they show up to do an interview on the board, suddenly everyone's sucking their dicks and calling their mild inconvenience "GOAT-worthy". Fuck off and learn some real scripts kiddos.

    1. I know, right? Colour me surprised. Everything I heard about the GNAA before now always suggested that they were actual hackers that went after real targets. I almost don't believe it, because this kind of faggotry is way below the GNAA that I know.

  12. Okay, if they wanted to punish SJWs, then I get the attack on RoundStable, but what's up with attacking FimFiction? I'm a site regular, and yeah, I have seen SJWs on occasion (any community big enough does have a few), but it's certainly not a hive of them like RoundStable or Tumblr, and the site moderators are very heavily against SJWs. So I don't understand the reasoning in their choice of targets.

If they really were attacking FimFiction for being a hive of degenerates, then I can't say that it's not that. The porn there is absolutely filthy and the autism is often off the charts. But attacking bronies because they find them icky is basically the SJW standard operating procedure, so if that's their reason, then it reeks of hypocrisy.

The only reason that's really left is that they just hate bronies in general, but not for anything specific, and degenercy and SJW tendencies are just excuses. Which if that is their reason, then fair enough, but crusading against a fandom is still magnificently retarded, and they're still doing a shit job of it.

Whatever their reasons are, they're faggots. Nothing more to this.

  14. These are just a bunch a idiots who are not tolerant of other peoples work. Their claim are nothing more than false and lies to think the rest of the population think were degenerate.

These are nothing more than a hate group that has the ability to hack.

    "Degenerate" "harassment" are stupid .

Wow, a bunch a hate mongers and trolls.

    =_=

It dumb , dumb dumb dumb and dumb

If one of you Kec sec international members is looking at this. This is not harassment, or degeneracy , its a word of advice. Stop trying to be like heroes, you're looking and acting like idiots, trolls, and hate mongers who are intolerant on what other people like.

Stop hacking people websites for the hatred of it, if it had terrorists operating it, fine by me, but hatred, its stupid, stop while you can before the whole fandom shout at you with massive reasioning

Sure they can sometimes act like idiots.

But if you whack it with a stick* (*DDos) and call it dumb idiots just for revenge, you probably got the whole hive coming after you.

  17. I don't get why these guys give a damn about how other people live their lives. Unless your computer gets infected with viruses or Trojans that keep bringing up pony porn or other shit when you're on ur computer, or keeps opening up internet explorer to these sites, you don't have a case for attacking them. all it does is proclaim to the world that your entire group is a bunch of narcissistic, xenophobic, narrow-minded assholes that are too short-sighted to realize that their actions aren't getting them any further in their lives. seriously. If they would just take their heads out of their ass for a few seconds to realize that the sun shines during the day, I bet they would figure out that they are judging only a small portion of these Bronies.

And in response to the degeneracy that can be found on these sites, I cant dismiss. There is some Seriously messed up stuff on those sights, but others (like FimFiction) do not have such things as a primary basis. Hell, you can even turn of mature on that site so you don't even encounter them. besides, mlp has the perfect basis for fan-fictions. Concrete religion, variety of characters, potential for virtually anything to happen (magic), fueled by the actual creators, and lots of protagonist and antagonists. Oh. and horses. Apparently horses are just very appealing.

What I'm trying to get at is that these people are being narrow minded, clearly slow to accept the views of other individuals, and are so enthralled with their egotistical selves to realize that they are doing virtually nothing to help any cause. fandoms are like trick candles. They pop back to life when you blow them out in like a second. More sites would pop up if they were permanently taken down. Overall, there really isn't anything these guys can do to take down these sites. There will always be someone determined enough to bring them back.

Plus they are upgrading their security and stuff, virtually every story written is saved on offline computers by members and staff, and Bronies have their own tech-savvy members throughout the network. Hell. Someone I knew hacked the grading resource at my old high school two years ago, and screwed with all the grades and passwords. Then someone decided to go and crash all of the computers in the building with a different home-made virus. And no. this wasn't some kind of crappy school software. You could do next to nothing unless you know a loophole or two.
