Big Jim holds a Charity Contest

My Little Pony Supervising Director, "Big" Jim Miller, is hosting a charity contest on Twitter. Details below the break.

Jim: I'm running a contest! Recently, I was down in San Diego for Comic Con, and I got a first hand look at the exclusive Discord & Fluttershy "Guardians of Harmony" figure. It's huge, gorgeous, and it lights up! After I came back, I was pleased to find that Hasbro sent me one of my very own!

But here's the thing, I already have a ton of pony stuff, and space is getting limited. So, my loss shall become your gain. I've decided to raffle off the toy to YOU, the faithful fans of MLP, and ship it to you at my own expense!

One more thing I must mention; I believe in what our show stands for, so in order to be eligible for the contest, all you must do is donate to a charity of your choice (donations to disreputable or icky charities will be void at my own discretion - no NAMBLA or hate groups, please) and provide proof of donation to WinADiscord@gmail.com, with your name, shipping address, and a copy of the donation receipt. Each donation will earn you ONE entry into the contest.

All of the entries will be put into a hat, and on the morning of Saturday, 27. August 2016, after the airing of the new episode "Dungeons and Discords," one name shall be drawn by my lovely assistant (my dog), and the winner will be informed via Twitter.

I would prefer you'd be generous enough to make at least a $5.00 USD donation, but I understand that not everyone is in the same financial position. If you so desire, you're free to make one-hundred $1.00 contributions, but that's a bit lame.

Entries without proof of payment receipt will be disqualified.

The deadline for all entries is midnight, Thursday, 25. August 2016, for I need some time to compile the names for the hat.

I'm hoping this little contest will be fun, and maybe we can get some worthy causes a bit of extra cash. Good luck to everyone!

      Well, the $4k MLP S1 Poster sold at the Charity Auction of summer Bronycon 2012, that was signed by Lauren Faust... nah, no money. Completely broke. :^)
