It's Always Sunny in Dark Skyes Visual Novel - Playable Beta

Think back for a moment all the way back to April, when one of the biggest shitstorms of the year took place. The huge scam attempt known as "Dark Skyes" which aimed to fool unsuspecting pony fans out of their shekels for a game that did not exist. Following the takedown of that scam attempt, a small team vowed to actually make the visual novel a reality.

After many months of virtual silence and no attempts to solicit money from anyone, the team, operating under the name "Future Game Laboratory" has released a playable beta of the visual novel.

The beta download can be found here for Mac, PC, and Linux

PukeyPony, the artist who was originally slated to be involved in the FAKE Dark Skyes project, is listed as the lead artist for this build.

Horse News has thusfar played through the game from start to finish, and it is clear that if the project continues to completion, it could prove to be a very in-depth product. There appears to be 14 different story-lines you can choose to follow, including one that could prove to be a "hot for teacher" scenario.

Feel free to give it a try and see what you think.

The project site has very little information available for the game, except for this:

We're Future Game Laboratory, a visual novel game design team! The majority of us are college students and are new to the visual novel development scene. Our current Project is "It's Always Sunny in Dark Skyes", a visual novel set in universe of ponies that focuses on day to day life along with social and romantic relationships.
As of now the full release date is:
Before Half-Life 3, After Starswirl Academy.

  3. Going to let some other poor soul play this first. Wouldn't surprise me if the demo is stuff full of malware.

  7. fucking worthless and unplayable. I tried to set it to fullscreen and now I can't use it at all, the resolution was changed so that I can't even click the button that puts it back to windowed...

even worse is that AFTER DELETING AND UNINSTALLING IT COMPLETELY FROM MY COMPUTER it saves the settings and is still completely useless

shit game, maybe if the devs acctually fucking used their brain it might be good

  8. I've just played the beta. There are at least 15 storylines you can follow. Early on there's a choice you make that turns into a different storyline.
