I'm sure that the majority of people in this fandom are big fans of vidya, and have been anticipating for the longest time just when, if ever, we'd get an official My Little Pony game to splurge over. Well in fact we've actually had two previous games for smaller hand councils from Generation 3, one being the unforgettable interactive world play of "The Runaway Rainbow" and the other in the form of the innovative first person shooter "Pinkie Pie's Party"
However, I'm sure what most fans are looking for is an official Generation 4 game to
Today an anonymous user went on the the fandom drama hole /mlp/ to make claims to a new MLP RPG now in development. He states that he recently tested the game, being payed to endure what ever they put in his hands like a common whore. Naturally, he kept making claims and answering questions posed by other anons, who were naturally skeptical. Even when hey gave a few more specifics, people still wanted to call him out.

So could OP be telling the truth? Is the idea of our very own Generation 4 RPG not completely out of the question? If it is true, there would be some very interesting story elements to look forward to. An RPG with classes of all the races set in the time BEFORE the reign of Luna and Celestia? Sounds great! Maybe Meghan didn't ruin it!
Honestly there was more I could have put in here but I have a friend's wedding to attend. Horse News doesn't pay me jack shit, so I'm not obligated.
It is very likely if this is true that EA will release it on Origin and no one will notice or even care. If this gets announced in the future (we should probabily hide our power levels so OP doesn't get the boot) and when it's announced we should try some stupid petition to get them to release it on Steam, just imagine the collective buttconsious /v/ would have, seeing MLP on the frontpage of Steam every day. Also Origin a shit.
ReplyDeleteYeah, much as I would love to see a MLP RPG, If its EA and Origin only, I'm not getting it. EA ruins everything they touch.
DeleteFolk that still bitch about Origin have never used it... or haven't used it in a long time.
DeleteuPlay is the big bastard digital distributor these days.
"Maybe Meghan didn't ruin it!" The only way that rule 63 Seth MacFarlane didn't ruin it, is if she isn't a part of ANY of the production team for that game. AT ALL..............and Assassin's Creed 2 is still shit.
ReplyDeleteThank God, for Jim Sterling.
>rule 63 Seth MacFarlane
Deletemy sides
I would play it even it is shit.
ReplyDeleteI am there for the canon world setting
I just can't believe this, this smells like a low-tier ruse.
ReplyDeleteIt is. There's no way EA would get a game to a playable state without doing the market research first. I could understand falling for it if he said they showed him mock up photos and video of gameplay but falling for this ruse is some first time summerfag tier retardation.
DeletePerhaps there are just mandatory testing hour quotas to fill, but I would think that by this point SOMEONE in the executive suite at Hasbro would deem a project like this to be a no-brainer.
ReplyDeleteIf EA goes through the trouble of getting MLP, they would've used the main characters and went for the target demo. HAsbro is against the ponies being violent (as this RPG idea would require) and if it takes place in the past, non of the licensed characters EA paid for will be used so why bother using the MLP name?
ReplyDeleteMAXIMUM BULLSHIT!!
But could the player fuck the horses?
ReplyDeleteOne can only hope
DeleteI'm also calling bullshit for the same reasons everyone else is. This ain't happening, and even if it was, it probably shouldn't; EA are incapable of creating good games nowadays. And even if you do play it for the story like one anon above claimed he would, if Meghan DIDN'T work on it, whoever EA would get to write it in her place would fuck up the story and lore on a level that a thousand Equestria Girls movies could never manage. It wouldn't just be the Highlander 2 of the franchise. It'd be the Highlander: The Source of the franchise.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a trustworthy thumb. You could go west with that thumb and grow up with the land.
